Project Management Agency Karlsruhe

On behalf of federal and state ministries and further funding institutions, the Project Management Agency Karlsruhe (PTKA) manages public funding programs. PTKA is a reliable, independent partner and co-designs programs to fund scientific research, development, innovation, and investments. It supports parties interested in funding as well as applicants and beneficiaries in program-based project funding and the dissemination of research results.

PTKA is an independent organizational unit of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Its offices are located on KIT’s Campus North, at the Karlsruhe Technology Park and in Dresden. At all three locations, PTKA staff accompanies the complete life cycle of new funding programs and research projects in the areas of production, service and labor research, water technology, waste disposal research, and environmental and energy research.

More than 160 employees from a number of disciplines, including engineering and natural sciences, the humanities, social sciences, law and administrative sciences, business management and commercial professions, provide applicants with funding advice and legislation-based support. PTKA assists its clients at the ministries by rendering customized services for national and international research and innovation funding.
