Information about an imminent traffic calming on KIT's Campus South is not true. KIT already denied a corresponding false report on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

The source of the false reports that continue to circulate are various websites that claim to originate from KIT and on which the false information can be found. KIT has no information about possible authors of the campaign and is not involved in any speculation. The responsible departments at KIT are currently examining possible legal steps.

KIT is committed to sustainability goals at various levels and thus also to sustainable mobility: This applies both to research activities and to the organization of research and teaching on the KIT campuses. Among other things, employees and students can actively shape sustainability at KIT through a highly participatory process in the "Basis Sustainability Project". With the Digitalization and Sustainability department, the topic  is also directly anchored in KIT's Executive Board.
