The former rector of Universität Karlsruhe, Professor Heinz Draheim, passed away last Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at the age of 96. From 1968 to 1983, Draheim was rector of the Fridericiana at politically difficult times. He was particularly committed to its internationalization.
