Electrical Engineering: Highly Satisfied KIT Students

Current Issue of ZEIT Campus Publishes Results of a Survey of the Center for University Development (CHE) Relating to Engineering Studies – Good Results also for Mechanical Engineering at KIT

As regards the overall studies situation, the scope of courses offered, and the IT equipment, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is among the best universities in Germany in the field of electrical engineering. For five of six indicators selected by the ZEIT Campus magazine, KIT is ranked in the top group. Results are also good for the overall studies situation in mechanical engineering. The ranking is based on a survey of master students and complements the survey of the Center for Uni-versity Development (CHE) of May 2013.

Detailed information about the other indicators is provided by the online version of the ranking at ranking.zeit.de on the internet. KIT master students of electrical engineering and information technology also rated the teaching evaluation, scope of courses offered, transition to master studies, professional orientation, practical orientation, and the rooms excellently.

In the mechanical engineering master program, KIT reached best results for the indicators of e-learning, teaching evaluation, professional orientation, library equipment, and overall studies situation.

The current results confirm the results of the CHE university ranking of May, which was based on feedbacks of bachelor students: In that survey, the programs of mechanical engineering and of electrical engineering and information technology were rated excellently.
