A fantastic trip from the Big Bang through black holes to our solar system and to Earth. This film funded by Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) will be presented in the lightshow at Karlsruhe Palace from August 8 to September 15 this year. On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, the KIT Climate and Environment Center has initiated this contribution to the Karlsruhe Schlosslichtspiele by the Maxin10sity group of artists. Impressing images will show the beauty, but also the vulnerability of Earth as our basis of life. The premiere will be on August 8.

„Die Teilnahme an den Schlosslichtspielen ist ein großes Projekt, das wir nicht alleine hätten realisieren können“, sagt Projektleiterin Kirsten Hennrich. Um den Film zu finanzieren, hat das KIT-Zentrum gemeinsam mit der KIT-Stiftung eine Spendenkampagne initiiert und konnte damit viele Unterstützerinnen und Unterstützer innerhalb und außerhalb des KIT gewinnen. „Über dieses großartige Engagement haben wir uns sehr gefreut – dafür herzlichen Dank“, so Hennrich.
